Rockies vs. Big Red
Whoops…I think I made a mistake when I posted about the Phillies’ upcoming playoff opponent. I assumed by ranking alone that they’d be playing the Chicago Cubs. Turns out I forgot about last night’s one-game playoff between San Diego and Colorado for the wild card spot, and I forgot to take into account playoff sports were determined by overall rank, instead of assuming the division leaders got the top three spots, like they do in other sports. Thus, the seeding for the National League divisional playoffs looks like this:
1) Arizona (90-72) vs. 4) Chicago (85-77)
2) Colorado (90-73) vs. 3) Philadelphia (89-73)
I suck at predictions, so I’m not going to make any concrete ones this round. All I can say is that I hope the Phils’ relief pitching holds up, or they could only be around long enough to see a week of action.
