Now I don’t feel so bad about the Phillies getting swept by the Colorado Rockies in the National League Divisional Series. Colorado spanked the Diamondbacks in four straight games and punched their ticket to the World Series over the weekend. Wouldn’t it be funny if they also managed to sweep the World Series? That would be an incredible winning streak, don’t you think? Out of all of the sports teams I’ve watched in my lifetime (not counting college sports and pro football), I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of them go completely undefeated in the playoffs. Technically, I shouldn’t be rooting for these guys, since they did beat my home team and all…but anytime something like that happens, you just have to sit back and say…”wow”.
