Bury that ball!
My brother’s pissed off at the Fox network again. The baseball playoffs are still going on, and last night’s Red Sox-Indians game knocked House, M.D. (his favorite show) out of the line-up for the week. There hadn’t been any pre-emptions of shows he cared about before then, since he only seems to watch network TV on Tuesdays. Doesn’t matter to me much, because I’m sure things will be back to normal in two weeks once the World Series ends. I’m wondering why ESPN doesn’t just pick up the playoff games wholesale, so that we could avoid all of this. They’ve got a zillion different channels for things like that. I’d bet they could probably bury the games on ESPN 8: The Ocho, and they would still get boffo ratings. Well, at least until another steroid scandal hits, that is.
