Thank the guitar gods…
“Through the Fire and Flames” is a bonus song in all versions of Guitar Hero III, and apparently you do not need to complete it to finish the game. Instead, you have to do a guitar battle against some fictional guy named “Lou” to win (actually game music composer Steve Ouimette), by playing of a heavy metal version of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia“. Still a daunting task, but probably a lot better choice of a final battle song than “Fire and Flames”. If that were the case, I’d probably be reading reports of lots of broken guitars the next day.
