Black Friday? What’s that?

And Cyber Monday? Don’t believe in it.  Unless it’s officially on my calendar, I don’t celebrate it.  Hell, I don’t think I even did any shopping on either of those days.  I’ll probably go ahead and knock out half of my Christmas shopping tomorrow, and save the other half for another day.

The trains don’t always run on time

If there’s anything I dislike more than being late for work, it’s being late coming home from work due to an unspecified accident from SEPTA.  The Route 13 trolley stopped outside 49th Street and Woodland Ave., but didn’t let us know why they were doing so.  We had to catch a shuttle bus back to Yeadon about five minutes after that one let us off.  Just before we were about to head home, another trolley full of people came by and tried to board, but the shuttle bus I was riding on was already filled to capacity.  I could just imagine what was going through their heads when the saw the bus passing by them.  “They’re leaving us behind, too? Damn it.”

Is it a bad sign to see fifteen trolleys lined up in the middle of the street, sitting in park?

Almost had ‘em

Anyone who actually thought the Eagles could pull off an upset victory against the undefeated Patriots yesterday, raise your hand.

*silence*

That’s what I thought.  They came close, though. A 31-28 loss is certainly something to cheer about when your team is a 25-point underdog.

Dull-fins

Boy, do the Dolphins suck this year.  My brother was afraid of watching the game on Sunday because he was afraid the Eagles would get kicked out of the league or something for losing to a team that bad.  He almost had that fear come true, as the Dull-fins scored on an early punt return to score the first points in the game.  Thankfully, Philly countered with 17 points and didn’t look back, saving their season for another week, only to get knocked down by the Patriots in the next, who laid a major 56-10 spanking on the Buffalo Bills. *le sigh*

We meet again, Mr. Wright.

I’ve been called back to the courthouse…to finish the job that you started three years ago.  Yes, the road was long and bumpy, and (especially) the final case has been more maddening than I might have expected.  Having to jump over pot holes and dealing with dead-ends is something no lawyer ought to go through.  But I stuck with it…and helped solve the mystery.  (Okay, I suck…I had to run for help…several times…but the point is that I still did it. Ha!) You are free to go now.
