Now, my year can begin in earnest
My first full work week begins on Monday (duh!). Now that I’ve gotten my latest package from Amazon.com with the following contents…
- Music: Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris (rock, 2007)
- Music: Bloc Party - Silent Alarm (rock, 2005)
- Anime: Scrapped Princess box set
…I should be set to rock out all weekend. I think this year I’ll try to take it slow and only order stuff from Amazon every four weeks to make my paychecks stretch out. That would make my next order date…January 27. I think I can survive that.
In semi-related news, Stuntman: Ignition is smooth. I’m only renting the PS2 version for the week, but it feels a bit more polished than the first game. The graphics and interface are cleaner, and stunt sections are shorter this time around, leading to less frustration when you mess up and have to start over. Trust me…you’ll still have to do a lot of re-shoots in this one, but at least you’ll only have wasted one or two minutes retrying it instead of up to five (thank you, no-checkpoint-having game…grr!) I haven’t tried out the Stunt Creation mode, because map-making isn’t one of my specialties. I’ll leave that part to my brother. Anyways, if you’ve got a PS2, PS3 or a working Xbox 360, try it. You might have some fun.
