Part of the rebuilding process
Over the weekend, one of my favorite Internet hangouts, the TV Tropes Wiki, suffered a major database crash and lost damn near all of its new edits in the past few months. Thanks to the power of the Google cache pages, it’s slowly making a comeback. It sucks when a big website has hardware failure, but in this case, the rebuilding process is part of the fun. Getting it back to its former glory will probably take two, three weeks at the most…and I’m doing the best I can to help.
If Wikipedia ever went down like that, the whole damn Internet would probably freak out.
