Cloverfield? What’s that?
I must have missed the memo about Cloverfield coming out in theaters today. Something about a monster attacking New York City, and having the whole thing filmed by a couple of bystanders, a la The Blair Witch Project. Apparently, it’s getting quite a bit of Snakes on a Plane-type Internet buzz. I don’t know whether that means this film is going to be “so bad it’s good”, or what. Monster movies aren’t really my thing. Then again, I did watch Snakes and Borat in theaters after reading about them on the Internet, so…there might be a chance.
On an unrelated note, I can’t get that song from the Dunkin’ Donuts commercial out of my head. You know, the one that goes “Doing things is what I like to do”…YES! Apparently, it’s a They Might Be Giants song. They’re the guys who wrote “Particle Man” and the theme song for the TV show Malcolm in the Middle, among other things. Looks like the commercial’s trying to tell me something other than “It’s time to make the donuts!”
