During my errant excursion to work yesterday, I had the perfect opportunity to pick up a Nintendo Wii at the Gamestop at 69th street (yep…they actually had them), but I chose to hold out on getting it, because it would be hard for me to just walk home from the bus stop with one of those bags in my hand. As quickly as those suckers disappear, I didn’t want my money to do the same, only to have my console stolen from me before I got home.
I feel like a colossal idiot today. Leave it to me to forget that I wasn’t supposed to come to work today. I thought my boss was going on a personal vacation when she said “I’ll see you on Monday”, so I figured, “Hey…I still have some residual deposits to take care of…might as well knock them out before I take off for the weekend.”
Now, I remember why I gave up using AOL Instant Messenger a while back. Stupid spambots won’t leave me alone. I thought it wouldn’t be such a problem using the damn thing for only about fifteen minutes a day. Nope…still getting “offers” for ringtones and webcams and junk. Never went to sites that offered these things, so I have no idea how (or why) I’m being targeted all of a sudden. Bah.
Stupid computer crashed on me again this morning while I was at work. Guess I’ll have to resort to turning this thing completely off before I go to sleep at night.
