It’s always sunny in the suburbs of Philadelphia

So, once again, I decided to get off my duff and take a walk outside, because I had some running around to do. Gas prices are creeping up ever so slowly, and I’ll be damned if I buy a car under these circumstances. I went and got a haircut, and then trekked over to the check cashing store to pick up a train pass so that I’m ready to go back to work next Monday. Then I also thought, “Hmm…while I’m out, why not pick up a Gamecube memory card or two?” The nearest Gamestop was only a mile away, but I really need to learn to talk myself out of doing these things when the temperature is 80 degrees and above.

Code Geass – Episode 5 – Leading Ladies

Bah…I probably should have worked faster to get the recap for Code Geass Episode 5: “The Princess and the Witch”. Adult Swim posts the new episodes online every Friday night, which means there’ll only be one more day for me to watch this particular episode, but not enough time to write a full review of it. Once the DVDs come out, I’ll be sure to write about them all in full, but for now, here’s the condensed version.

As Borat would say, “Great success!”

Yessir and yes ma’am…it’s finally fin-diddly-inished! My pet Mai-HiME fanfiction project, One Wonderful April, just had its 30th and final chapter finished this morning. There won’t be any more updates to it, but I plan to start writing a post-mortem review to let you guys know how exactly I decided to write this silly story of mine (especially considering how Mai/Natsuki fic is impossible to find in this fandom with the way FF.net’s search engines work, though I’m sure it exists somewhere).

Mall is well

How weird. I was expecting there to be a really big downpour this afternoon, but I managed to get to the mall and back within two hours before anything bad happened. It’s still pretty cloudy outside, but there hasn’t been much rain yet here.

So close, yet so…close

Today, I’ve officially reached “almost there” status on two different fronts. Chapter 29 (of 30) of One Wonderful April is posted, and I came dangerously close to completing Subspace Emissary mode in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The last section of the game is supposed to be really freakin’ long, so with this vacation I’ve decided to take for myself, I’ll actually be able to beat it in one sitting. Let’s face it…this week is going to be awesome, achievement-wise, for me. Hope yours is, too!
