Code Geass - Episode 3 - She Be Illin’
First off, happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers in America.
Second, boy is my face red. In my first Code Geass episode recap, I mistakenly identified Bartley as that bearded guy who pistol-whipped Suzaku and then killed himself after Lelouch used his mind-control on him. Turns out I was wrong…Bartley is the bald guy commanding the forces from afar. I’ve corrected the recap to make up for that mistake.
As for this week’s show, “The False Classmate”…meh. Nothing really that special to me. 3-star material at best. I guess I was spoiled by the tense action in the first two episodes to worry about the exposition in this one. The best I can say that we got out of this one is Lelouch’s reason for fighting (his blind, wheelchair-bound sister Nunnally), and the limits of his power (he can’t use it on a single person more than once). An, erm…”eye-popping” conversation between Lelouch and Kallen looks like it’s setting up events for next week’s episode. We’ll have to see what happens on Saturday/Sunday, I guess.
