Code Geass - Episode 6 - Follow That Cat!
Not much to say about this week’s episode. I’m just wondering why the animators/dubbers/whomever decided to cut off the opening song a few seconds before it ended. I don’t listen to OP songs, but I just find it weird that something like that would happen. The same thing occurred at the beginning of last week’s show. Hmm…
So anyway, Suzaku shows up at school, and not too many of the Ashford students are happy about his arrival, simply because he’s only an “honorary Britannian”. Lelouch is still glad to see him, though, and so is Nunnally (even though she can’t “see” him). Most of the episode deals with Lelouch chasing down his cat after it steals his Zero mask. Milly challenges everybody in the school to find the cat, and the winner gets a kiss from the student council member of their choice. Everyone goes nuts chasing after it, but Suzaku’s the one to win out, finding the cat on top on the clock tower. Shirley, Milly and Rivalz (the “z” is silent, apparently) are glad to greet the new guy after his heroics, but Nina still feels a bit uneasy. (Uh-oh.)
To conclude the show, the Emperor gave a big blustery speech at Prince Clovis’ public funeral about social Darwinism. At least now Lulu knows what he’s going up against…
