Did I really just write a page-long rant against an anime character I don’t like? Whoa. Maybe I should back up and take a few deep breaths before moving on. It’s a good thing I didn’t publish it, or people would think I’m crazy. I’ll just keep it on my flash drive for the time being.

I went up to Phoenixville and saw my brother’s apartment for the first time. The area’s nice and quiet, and would be ideal for a guy like me to live in. Unfortunately, the closest bus stop to his apartment is a good twenty-minute walk away, so I’d have a hard time getting to work without a bike. Luckily, there are a good number of quality stores in the vicinity (Giant, KFC, Rite-Aid, etc.), so at least I don’t have to go far to shop if I need food.
I’ll have to look into getting a place of my own soon…somewhere within reach of SEPTA. My brother suggested Media or Ardmore, because I’d be able to get around quite easily with my, um…situation. And indeed, WalkScore.com agrees…Ardmore, PA has a score of 91 (out of a possible 100), while Media, PA has an 83, meaning they’re very “walkable” neighborhoods. If it helps me get to and from work faster than from where I am, then I’m all for it.

Yes, I still am working on that Sakura/Karin fic I started at the non-hyphenated 30kisses LiveJournal community a while ago, but I’ve since moved on to make it an independent story. Some chapters will still be posted in bits and pieces of about 2,000 words, but this will get done…definitely not this year, but it’ll happen. Anyway, time to pimp out the usual sites for reading Chapter 2, Part 1 of “It’s Never Lonely at the Top”:

I don’t know whether or not I should be surprised that this little computer of mine has already been obsoleted after owning it for just two years. Searching for new, up-to-date models within the price range of my current box shows new models with Intel Core 2 Duo Processors, 3-4 GB of RAM, and 600GB of hard disk space (that’s 5 times the space that I have now). I’m not entirely sure why people spend thousands of dollars on parts to tweak their computers every year when new and much improved models are already sold out the box for a fraction of that price.
Running Vista can’t be that damn demanding, now can it?

I’ve gotten back into the groove on MLB Power Pros 2008, and finally pulled a character out of the minors into the major leagues. The mode’s a lot easier to go through once you’ve played through the AA year and built up your attributes somewhat. I believe I had two consecutive three-hit games, and that helped the scouts see me as good enough to play for the majors in six months. In hindsight, I probably should have placed him in a position other than shortstop, because now he’s going to have to compete with Jimmy Rollins for a spot on the starting roster. I’d probably have had better luck putting him in as a catcher.
In other news, I’d love to be able to chime in with the praise-singing of Bionic Commando Rearmed, except I still can’t get past the first level. Granted, the game looks awesome, but chugs terribly on my computer. I’m grateful the damn thing runs at all. Guess it’s time for another memory/RAM upgrade, huh?
