Deadly Towers…ah, that game brings back memories. Not pleasant ones, by any means, but they’re there. I hadn’t viewed any of the Angry Video Game Nerd’s videos in a while, but his latest one savaging Deadly Towers (warning: video NSFW) was “special”, in that it was the fans submitting the toilet humor this time around, rather than coming from the man himself. At the end of the video, he even curses in German! All I could understand out of that was “this game is a piece of shit”, but he says that in most of his reviews. My favorite part is at the beginning of the video where they replay the Nerd’s theme song in NES and DOS-style chiptunes. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough worksafe quotes to supply for this review (surprising, since with Superman 64, which is often deemed the worst game by a lot of people, the bowel metaphors were few and far between), but this one I found strangely appropriate, given my own experience with the game:

“This is so bad, Satan wouldn’t even accept it if you offered it with your soul.”

Never change, Nerd…never change.
