So I watched episodes 9 and 10 of Gurren Lagann the other day, where sparkle-spiral princess Nia showed up for the first time. When she first started talking, something immediately came to me:

NIA IS STARFIRE!

Think about it: both characters are weirdly-colored otherworldly princesses with odd speech patterns.

Say what you will about Bandai messing up other parts of the dub, but I think the casting company hit the nail on the head with this one. Now, I think I want to go ahead and start collecting the Teen Titans box sets in order to make further comparisons to support my theory.
