LiveJournal, fanficrants, and icon dickery

No matter how obvious the troll, there will always be people who fall for it/get incensed by it for no real reason. Case in point: Someone posted an image macro in the fanficrants LiveJournal community where he/she/whoever makes fun of an icon you used before, and there were about a half-dozen people who got all huffy about him “stealing” their images. A few people caught on to it, because it’s a stock script that LiveJournal uses to show the last image you uploaded. Unfortunately for our troll friend, the image that got shown to me wasn’t icon-sized, so I saw right through it. (For those wondering, mine was a Mai/Natsuki artbook scan). Even after all of the wankery, there were still one or two who further fed the troll and actually posted responses to it. Talk about missing the point.
