I’ve got balls of plastic!
Sprint, for all of my personal misgivings with the company, won a few points in my book when it went and sponsored Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic for the PlayStation Network and gave it away as a free download (limited time only, of course). Freebies are always nice, so I went ahead and downloaded it. It’s a nice little diversion, though I’m kinda saddened that I can’t play “Capture the Fish” mode unless I’ve got another player in the room to compete against. I’ll probably be competing for some of the other trophies by breaking my (low) high scores in Challenge mode, and also trying to get better with the SIXAXIS motion control moves. Not succeeding very well right now.
I also picked up Zen Pinball, which is not free, but offers a quartet of pinball tables to play on (sort of like the old Sierra 3-D Ultra Pinball game Creepnight). I seem to have my best games on the “Shaman” table, where I nearly got 2 million points after my first few tries. However, with the minimum ranked score on the leaderboards somewhere in the beighborhood of 80 million, I’ve got a long way to go before I’ll be able to rank. Between this and Alien Crush Returns on the Wii, I should have enough pinball action to keep me going for quite a while. Now, fi only I could get a friggin’ multiplayer game started in Zen…
