Now in spifftacular Raimi-vision!

I haven’t been out to the movie theater since Ratatouille came out more than a year ago, but I decided to break that streak today when I watched Drag Me to Hell with my sister. It’s outside of my “comfort zone” of comedies/animated films/things that will never get nominated for any kind of Academy Award, ever (not even the technical ones), but when I heard that Sam Raimi was the co-writer and director (I think the last straight horror film he worked on was The Gift, back in 2000), I had to watch. And you know what? I enjoyed it, which isn’t something I usually say for a horror film. The challenge now is being able to get to sleep without seeing an image of that creepy Gypsy lady gnawing at my flesh…
