Taking advantage of another “Payday Friday”, I decided to unleash a few of the video games I’ve stopped playing for a few more fresh ones. Madden NFL 09 had to be returned, because the new version is coming out next month, and I don’t do all that well with sim-style sports games anyway (I tend to play the “superstar” mode for a few weeks, and then lose interest). I wanted to keep Magician’s Quest: Mysterious Times a little while longer, but since I already have Animal Crossing: City Folk, there was no point in me keeping this (especially after not getting much of anything done despite going to magic classes for two weeks straight). And while I like Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes, I completely hit a brick wall in both games when facing off against Orochimaru, and haven’t yet returned to them to see if I can do better. Maybe I’ll get some more mileage out of Puchi Puchi Virus (an…*ahem* “addictive” puzzle game *groan*) and House of the Dead: Overkill, or as I like to call it, “Grindhouse of the Dead”, due to its visual style and reputed “f-bombs every 15 seconds”.
