Going back and forth in time
A strange thing happened to me while I was playing The Sims 2 today. I took one of my Sims out to an arcade to hang out, and time was progressing normally. I decided to go back home in order to get her something to eat at around noon, but when I checked the game clock, it had reset back to 9 Am, the time when she left. This anomaly seems to be a weird phenomenon going around most SimCities. Time only appears to be relative to a certain dimension in this world, which is why it could be winter in one house, while the house a few blocks away could be experiencing the heat of summer all day long.
It gets even weirder when you play a University student…when you’re in Sim college, they don’t even recognize days of the week! I guess that’s done to keep the students focused on their academics and not worry about such trivial things. I’ll bet that the person responsible for deciphering the flow of time in this would would be a god among Sims. Looks like I’ve got a job to do.
