Didn’t make the cut

I’ve taken down the Let’s Play and Red Mage Radio sections from the website. The first section got removed because my work with Rune Factory Frontier and Overlord: Raising Hell is still in development, while RMR, my attempt at creating a weekly podcast, was a resounding flop and only lasted for three very short episodes. There is a possibility I may bring the first two back once one of them is finished, but it’s both tiring and pointless to try and update them here and on the TV Tropes forum (where I started them) at the same time.

Hungry no more?

After running this blog for about three years, I think it’s about time for me to drop the “Red Mage Needs Food Badly” moniker and come up with something new. The main reason for this is because I can’t really use the punny title anymore, now that Midway has collapsed and the Gauntlet franchise is pretty much dead.

Let me be your navigator

A small update to the blog this weekend (Happy Father’s Day, BTW, to all the dedicated dads out there). Red Mage Radio to debut this Saturday

It’s official…my first audio blog entry will be posted this Saturday. Among the topics I’ll be covering are Super Street Fighter IV, Monster Hunter Tri, the weird stuff I’ve been cooking up and playing in WarioWare D.I.Y., and why it’s taken me so long to play through the Sam and Max games, even though the [...]

Yes, I actually sound like this (audio test)

This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this. Then again, this is alsothe first time I’ve had a working microphone hooked up to my computer for me to record things, so I figured I’d do a test post with my mic…as an “experiment”. It took me several tries to get it just right…I either wound up stuttering my lines, or talking too loud into the mic. I think I eventually struck a good balance with this. I wanted to do it in one continuous sound byte, instead of hacking it up into smaller pieces and splicing it together…it would be a bit too obvious that way.
