# Disney is reportedly going to purchase Marvel Comics for about $4 billion. Does this mean we’re going to start seeing a lighter-and-softer Incredible Hulk soon? Or maybe a stab at a Kingdom Hearts-style crossover: Marvel vs. Disney vs. Square Enix?
Boy, am I ever glad I only knew of the Maximum Carnage storyline from Acclaim’s video-game tie-in. Granted, I probably would have read it anyway at the age of 13, if it weren’t for that pesky caveat of “being a school kid without any money to call his own”, but the whole thing reads like one long, never-ending idiot plot. Why, Stan Lee? Why would you allow this to happen to one of your most recognizable super-heroes?
Remind me never to read really bad literature without the help of Joel or Mike and the ‘bots again.
Today, against my better judgment, I decided to read the Doom comic for a laugh during my lunch break. It’s so brainless and stupid it almost becomes funny after a while.
