Game, set, match

Chalk Mario Tennis: Power Tour as another one “off the list”. Strangely, I had more problem facing Peach in the first round of the final tournament, because she’s so fast. After about three tries, I managed to exploit her weakness to net shots, since she likes to play along the base line. Bowser, my opponent in the semifinals, was easier to take out because he’s not quite as fast. On the other hand, his flaming breath serve packs a mean punch. Mario, being the Mario, wasn’t much to write home about.

With the singles title under my belt, I now have to win the Peach Tournament doubles, which theoretically should be easier, as I’m only facing two teams instead of three. Seriously…what’s with the lack of Mario characters in this game? I only counted six on the character select screen…Mario, Luigi, DK, Peach, Bowser, and Waluigi.

I’m feelin’ good. How about you?

Well, okay. It’s been more of a generic beginning of the week so far, but I’ve still been more productive than I usually am at this time of year. In the last 36 hours, I’ve managed to pay off my debt in Animal Crossing: City Folk by selling fossils, got back into the groove on Sigma Star Saga (a shoot-em-up/RPG hybrid for the Game Boy Advance) and reached the halfway point, and made it to Chapter 2 in Avalon Code without any major screw-ups, not that I have a better understanding of how the game system works. For my next trick, I’ll figure out just where that silly gear goes in Trace Memory…
